Anne Marie Hadley OBITUARY
Anne Marie Hadley, 98, of Wilmington, Del., formerly of West Grove, Pa., passed away on Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, at the Cadia Rehabilitaion Silverside.
She was the wife of Thomas L. Hadley, who passed away in 1971, and with whom she shared 39 years of marriage.
Born in Toughkenamon, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Oreste and Elizabeth Fabiucci Catena.
She was a hostess at the Three Little Bakers in Wilmington, Del., for 25 years, retiring in 2009.
Mrs. Hadley was a member of St. John the Beloved Church, Wilmington, Del.
She was an avid gardener, a Phillies fan, very patriotic, and enjoyed cooking, especially for others, and she enjoyed being with her family and friends.
She is survived by three grandchildren, Garrett Hadley and his wife Liz of Wilmington, Del., Thomas Hadley III of Eureka, Calif., and Lacy Hadley of Santa Maria, Calif.; two sisters, Helen Peacock of Media, Pa. and Edith Mammarella of Coatesville, Pa.; and two great-great children.
She was predeceased by two sons, Patrick Hadley and Thomas “Squeaky” Hadley; two sisters, Mary DiSabatino and Blanche DiCecco; and one brother, Valentine Catena.
You are invited to visit with her family and friends from 8:15 to 9:15 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, at the Kuzo & Grieco Funeral Home, 250 W. State St., Kennett Square, Pa., 610-444-4116. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, at St. Patrick’s Church, 212 Meredith St., Kennett Square, Pa. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
